Your bike can come with you – but it needs a ticket

Along the metronome routes there are great cycle paths and plenty of areas to explore. Simply take your bike or e-bike with you on the train.

For this purpose, we have equipped the metronom with an extra bicycle-specific carriage with space for more than 40 bicycles. Please board the train with your bike only in this carriage, remove your bags and secure your bike. A bike symbol is attached to the carriage from the outside to make it easier to find.

Different from some inner-city transport you can take your bike with you at any time. Please just be sure to have a ticket for your bike. You can get the bicycle day ticket e.g. at all metronom automated ticket machines. With this ticket, you can take one bicycle with you on all of our trains as often as you like on the day of purchase.
